Exemption from E-vignette Additional Fee Payment - Hungary
The vehicle operator may be exempted from the obligation to pay the additional fee ("e-vignette fine, penalty") if they purchase the relevant annual national vignette for the vehicle after receiving the notice for additional fee payment. In other cases, if you feel you have been fined, or will be fined (passing under a camera without an e-vignette), immediately purchase the annual national e-vignette here to lawfully avoid the anticipated fine.
What should you do now?
- Click the button below the article to go to the e-vignette purchase menu, and buy the national annual e-vignette for the vehicle for which you received the penalty ("fine") notice. It is important that you purchase a national, annual e-vignette and not a county one to be exempt from paying the fine!
- After purchasing the national annual e-vignette for the vehicle for which the fine was issued, send your request to the following email address:[email protected]
- In your request, you must refer to: "Request for exemption from additional fee with a retrospectively purchased annual national e-vignette".
- Attach the confirmation of the national annual e-vignette purchased here (which we will send to you by email after purchase) to your request.

What benefit do you gain from this?
- After the assessment of the request (the revocation or credit of the fine), you get an annual national e-vignette at a numerically more favorable price than the amount of the fine.
- Thus, you essentially receive an annual national e-vignette while lawfully avoiding the obligation to pay the fine (penalty), fairly.
- The average amounts of the fines start at tens of thousands of Hungarian forints. In case of a prolonged procedure, they can easily exceed one hundred thousand forints. You can save on this.
