The Romanian Prime Minister, Marcel Ciolacu, announced that from 2025, travelers in Romania will be able to reach Suceava via the highway. The section connecting Suceava with the A7 highway is already in the procurement phase, and the Prime Minister emphasized that all necessary steps have been taken. The procurement process for the extension of the A7 to Suceava has already begun. Both projects are currently under bidding.
So, if we continue at the current pace of the A7, pleasant surprises await us next year - stated Ciolacu. When asked about the A8 highway works, the Prime Minister explained that part of the project has already been awarded the procurement and has financing, while for the A13, studies are still being prepared. Ciolacu also assured the public that the road bypassing the city of Gura Humorului, as part of the Northern Highway, will be constructed. We have already prepared the technical-economic indicators for the Humorului bypass, and we will soon launch the procurement process. The cost is somewhat high, amounting to 500 million euros, but since Mr. Șoldan insists on it so much, we will be compelled to realize it - concluded Ciolacu.
